Pax Unplugged Keynote Speaker Announced

Wizards of the Coast president Chris Cocks will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural PAX Unplugged, the new tabletop-focused addition to Penny Arcade's lineup of gaming events, taking place Friday - Sunday, Nov. 17-19 2017 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA.

Now at the helm of Wizards of the Coast, the tabletop games publisher renowned for its work on popular franchises including Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Cocks has enjoyed a lengthy career in the gaming and tech worlds. Prior to joining the company in 2016, Cocks spent several years at Microsoft, contributing to successful titles like Halo, Oddworld, and Fable, and LeapFrog, the award-winning maker of children's educational electronic entertainment products.

Tickets for PAX Unplugged 2017 are currently on sale via the official registration page. Three-Day Tickets are $60 USD while Friday Only, Saturday Only, and Sunday Only Tickets are $25 USD. Sunday Kids Day Tickets (for children age 6-12) are also available for $10 USD.

The PAX series of shows - West, East, South, Australia, and Unplugged - produced by ReedPOP in conjunction with Penny Arcade, comprise some of the world's largest gaming festivals, with each event entertaining tens of thousands of guests.
