Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today unveiled details surrounding the Regional Finals and Finals for the Injustice 2 GameStop Hometown Heroes tournament, the amateur esports program operated by ESL for the top-selling Injustice 2 video game from NetherRealm Studios. Eight Regional Finals tournaments will take place in local GameStop retail stores on August 12 at 11 am local time at each of at the following locations, where the top four Injustice 2 competitors from each region’s open online qualifier tournaments will compete for a coveted spot in the Finals on August 27:

Fans who attend any of the Regional Finals in-person will have a chance to obtain free swag including digital codes for the Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition, posters, jerseys and more on a first come first serve basis. Those unable to attend in-person can tune-in to watch the Regional Finals online, which will be broadcast on Sunday, August 13 beginning at 9:30 AM PST on the NetherRealm Twitch channel: www.twitch.tv/netherrealm, as well as on the Injustice 2 Facebook page, and the GameStop Facebook page.
The top player from each of the eight regions will compete for a $5,000 prize pool at the Injustice 2 GameStop Hometown Heroes Finals taking place on August 27 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the GameStop Consumer Expo. The top two players from the Finals will move on to the ELEAGUE Injustice 2 World Championship to face off for $250,000 in prize money on October 21.
