ESPN2 To Televise Street Fighter V World Championships

ESPN2 returns to the Evolution Championship Series (Evo 2017) this year with televised coverage of the Street Fighter V World Championship live from Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, beginning at 10 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 16. The competition will also be available to stream live via the ESPN app.

Evo is the largest and longest-running fighting game tournament in the world, and hosts top competitors and esports fans to a variety of fighting game tournaments over three days.

“It’s great to be back at the Evo Championship Series Final with Street Fighter V this year,” said Kevin Lopes, director, ESPN programming and acquisitions. “This final will provide no shortage of compelling competition, and we look forward to delivering this event to fans.”

Evo 2017 is scheduled to take place July 14-16 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. In addition to Street Fighter V and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, games taking place at this year’s event include Tekken 7, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, Injustice 2, Super Smash Bros. Melee, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, The King of Fighters XIV, and Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3.
