Madden Championship Weekend

The finals of the 2017 Madden Championship have arrived, with this weekend marking the grand finale of this year’s competition. The winner will take home the largest share of the $500,000 prize pool, as well as earning the title of the first ever Madden Champion.

The 2017 Madden Championship airs live on the NFL Network, Twitch, Facebook and YouTube this Sunday, May 14 at 9:00pm ET, with a re-air on NFL Network the same night at 12:00am ET. Fans can also get full coverage from the weekend on the Madden NFL website.

There’s no shortage of drama heading into finals weekend, as the competition reaches a fever pitch. Serious Moe, the 2016 Madden Challenge Champion, will face off against best-friend and Madden GOAT Eric “Problem” Wright for the opportunity to make it to the final game. Will their friendship withstand the test with so much on the line?

Moe is also playing for his late father, who tragically died in a car accident in March. Moe’s dad was a pillar of the community and a huge supporter of his son’s Madden dreams, so Moe is dedicating this tournament to his dad.

Elsewhere in the bracket, the two of the top young players in the game, Young Kiv and Hollywood, go head-to-head for a spot in finals weekend. Neither competitor has won a single-elimination game yet, but that will change as both take their shot at leading a changing of the guard.

Elsewhere in the tourney perpetual runner-up Skimbo is trying to finally break through and win it all, while BeastModeMac is going for back-to-back Major wins. There’s also a potential upset in the making with Volterax lurking in the wings with a dangerous offense and a desire to upset the status quo.
