KontrolFreek and Operation Supply Drop (OSD) recently announced a joint-campaign to honor Military Appreciation Month by sending fans and a military veteran to the world’s premier video game event: Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). From now through May 31, fans who make a purchase at KontrolFreek.com will have the ability to donate to OSD, a military charity and support organization for veterans and active duty military personnel. Every fan who donates will be entered into a sweepstakes to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Los Angeles to attend E3 (June 13-15), which will highlight the year’s biggest video game releases for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo and PC gaming systems.
KontrolFreek – which is known for its line of innovative performance gaming products – will further support OSD by matching every fan donation through the end of May with a Performance Gaming Thumbstick set. Products donated by KontrolFreek will be included in one of OSD’s future Supply Drop activations, which provide “fun where there is none” for service members at home and abroad. Supply Drops are packed with games and other modes of entertainment, and supplement OSD’s morale events on installations, which include homecomings, Thanksgiving meals, Christmas parties and family days.
“KontrolFreek and Operation Supply Drop have celebrated an amazing relationship throughout the past five years, and it’s exciting we’re able to partner up once again to support the military while also sending some lucky fans to E3,” said Dana Thomas, Vice President of Marketing & Product Development at KontrolFreek. “At the end of the day, both KontrolFreek and OSD are about building community, whether in a gaming arena or on a military base. And we’re thrilled we’re able to honor both the military and gaming fans in a way that truly spotlights OSD’s amazing work.”
In addition to attending E3, the sweepstakes winners will have the opportunity meet with key members of KontrolFreek and Operation Supply Drop as well as attend and participate in a Supply Drop activation in the greater Los Angeles area.
“We have a unique and long-standing relationship with KontrolFreek that continues to grow each year. In addition to providing their amazing product, they’re always seeking additional avenues to impact our service members, veterans and their families alongside our programs,” said Glenn D. Banton, Sr., Chief Executive Officer at Operation Supply Drop. “We’re excited to partner with KontrolFreek on this initiative, which will not only provide financial support to our complementary veteran programs but also provide a memorable E3 experience to KontrolFreek community members and a deserving veteran.”
